On a forested hill with steep slopes the vernacular of hill villas built by missionaries is extended to meet a complex brief.
Buildings accentuate the experience of the forest and the hill and distant views – the play of morning and afternoon sun-light, with a variety of courts and terraces formed by disposition of buildings.Five totems of sacrificed conifers symbolize a responsibility toward the natural environment across the five continents of internationalism.
A “natural” materiality; local stones, timber, white walls and tile roof.
